Autorenporträt
Dr Garth Benneyworth is Head of Department: Heritage Studies at Sol Plaatje University, South Africa. He specialises in the Heritage of Conflict, focussing on the South African War (1899-1902) and the War for Southern Africa (1960-1994). In 1999, he built the Magersfontein Battlefield Museum exhibition, is Chairperson of Council for the War Museum of the Boer Republics (Anglo Boer War Museum) and Senior Research Associate to the University of Johannesburg. His 30 years' research in archives and on battlefields results in this first academic work, covering Magersfontein, its interlinked military actions and heritage landscape.
