Linda Mia Stall grew up in Montreal, Quebec, in a house with a large backyard, apple trees, and two very old sugar maples supporting the family hammock. She would spend hours in the hammock reading or daydreaming and conjuring up stories and fantasies. She moved to the country in her mid-twenties to a home in Frelighsburg in the Eastern Townships, where she brought up her three children. Over many years, she told them the story of The Bears of Blueberry Hill. The three children loved the story. Just as each story ended with the bear cubs exhausted after all their adventures, unable to keep their eyes open another minute, so it would also be with the three children. Try as they may, the story would end with them snoring as softly as Mama Melinda Bear. Linda Stall now lives in an old country home, built in 1860, in the Eastern Townships of southeastern Quebec. Her three children are now adults, with four little cubs of their own, and these stories will become their stories now.The Bears of Blueberry Hill is Linda's first children's book.
