With increasing interest in apocalyptic themes in light of recent events, Rolf Svanoe has written The Beast in the Pulpit, The Lamb in Our Hearts with a goal of "providing a resource for preachers to engage the latest research and insights into Revelation." Because this book of the Bible is often misread and misrepresented in some churches and the media, it is essential that Christians are able to experience a more faithful reading of the book of Revelation. The Beast in the Pulpit, The Lamb in Our Hearts gives congregations and preachers the tools they need to craft a worship series that will help them to faithfully encounter the message of Revelation. Svanoe addresses many of the difficulties and reasons preachers avoid Revelation. Twelve representative sermons and suggested worship elements are included. Finally, a dramatic reading proposal is also included to help the congregation experience Revelation as powerful narrative. This book is written to help churches find ways to speak truth to the beast-like powers in our world today, and to faithfully follow the Lamb in our hearts.
