She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree in Nursing at The College of New Rochelle. She also received a Post Master's Certificate in Nursing Education at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and a PhD in Education at Capella University. She works as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a private practice and lives in New York.
