In addition to publisher Florian Langenscheidt, who begins the book with a wonderful and encouraging foreword, well known public figures featured in the book introduce others also featured in the book. For example, Petra Gerster is writing about Ulrich Wickert, Claudia Schiffer about Karl Lagerfeld, and Stefan Raab about "Bully" Herbig and vice versa. The selection of the "reasons to love Germany" was undertaken by a very well-known jury.
