Denise-Marie Martin is a retired scientist with a diverse research career. Her favorite experience was working in bioinformatics-a discipline that combines biology, computer science, and mathematics to interpret large genomic datasets. She has an impressive portfolio of scientific publications, numerous awards, and nine patents. She also worked as a mathematics instructor at both the secondary and college levels.In retirement, Denise-Marie has turned her analytical mind and creative spirit to writing fiction. The Better Part of Worse: A Novel of Hope is her second novel. A wife, mother, and grandmother, Denise-Marie is actively engaged in her faith community. She and her husband reside in the picturesque Pacific Northwest.
