Autorenporträt
Helena Harastová graduated with a degree in Dramaturgy from the Janácek Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and is a part-time student of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, Brno. She works mainly as a writer and a translator from English and Russian, and her work includes little books in the Bizbooks imprint and a Czech translation of a musical, Bernarda Alba. After two years working for the company of the National Theatre in Brno, she became a literary editor at B4U Publishing. Her first writing for children was a dramatization of The Life Story of a Baby with a Big Head for the National Theatre in Brno. Jirí Franta is a visual artist and illustrator and a member of the artists' group Rafani. He is part of the duo Franta-Böhm and cofounder of the magazine Kix. He was shortlisted several times for the Jindrich Chalupecký Award. His work is exhibited in Czechia and abroad. From 2004 to 2009 he and Jirí Skála ran the gallery ETC, which they founded in 2004.
