Xue Tao was born in March 1971 in Changtu, Liaoning Province in northeastern China, and currently lives in Shenyang. He spends most of his time reading and writing in a riverside cabin. In recent years, he has published several works, including September's Glacier, Small Town, Inseparable, The Lonely Major, Shali and Xingchen, and The Little Goat Walks through the Field. He has won multiple awards, and some of his works have been included in university and high school textbooks. His books have been translated into many languages, and published internationally.
