Autorenporträt
He is an author and academic researcher specializing in Islamic history and education (both Islamic and non-Islamic). Born in Iraq, he studied English Literature and graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1966. Thereafter, he directed his efforts towards Islamic history, Arab heritage, and social work, and he is particularly interested in Islamic movements. He has a detailed nine-volume work about the beginning of Islam and the first period of the Umayyad rule entitled Mawsuat Al-Thawrah Al-Husayniyyah ("The Encyclopedia of the Revolution of Husayn"). He also has several publications and studies in history, politics, and literature. He has participated in seminars, conferences, and inaugurations in Iraq and other Arab countries, as well as in Europe and the United States. He has presented research, studies, and consultations and lectured in his area of specialization in several public and research-based centers and organizations.
