Existing as a Black woman in America means facing systemic-racism, gender-inequality, and overall social injustice. We are in a perpetual state of reminding others that our Black Lives Matter and our bodies are our own. However, there's more to our experiences. The poems on these pages are devoted to presenting you a more complete, truthful, and accurate representation of the American Black Woman. The words explore our love, our culture, our struggle, and our 'magic.'
