Marquis D. Bynum is the curator of the @Black_Ourstory Instagram page and author of the best-selling e-book The List: From Slavery to George Floyd, which reached more than 700,000 readers and is currently implemented in history, race, and culture studies worldwide.He is a 2008 graduate of DePauw University and a 2011 Masters recipient of Indiana State University. Marquis currently serves as an all-source intelligence analyst in the United States Air Force and as a strategic military analyst studying Latin American and Caribbean affairs for the United States Army. After three military deployments and more than 12 years of studying the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, The Black List: 1526-2022 is his personal ode to American History.He enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs and giving back to the San Antonio, Texas community as the co-founder of Project H.E.L.P. (Humanity Evolves from Loving People), a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring communities to provide charitable solutions for the houseless and less fortunate and providing educational mentorship opportunities for children and teens living in underserved communities.
