Originaire d'Afrique du Sud, Teboho Moja vit à New York et maintient des liens très forts avec l'Afrique du Sud. Elle parle couramment le setswana. Elle est professeure à la faculté d'éducation de New York University où elle enseigne le management de l'enseignement supérieur.
