Since 1979 Blueline has been quietly binding together literature that reflects the distinctive Adirondack spirit. These poems and stories, collected in one volume for the first time, reveal an accumulation of regional writing that forms a contemporary history of the Adirondacks. This history not only celebrates the geography of the Adirondacks but embraces a distinct way of looking at the world. Under the editors' discriminating and watchful eye, the pieces work as a whole to become a natural and elegant extension of the region's landscape and people. From Joseph Bruchac's Writing by Moonlight and Neal Burdick's Waiting for a Train at the Plattsburgh Amtrak Station to Liz Rosenberg's Blue Mountain Lake, The Blueline Anthology offers that rare glimpse into the soul of a region only found in the stories it inspires.
