This research is the fruit of struggle and passion. The poetry of Maria Teresa Horta is for us the compass that points the way to the liberation and reconstruction of the female body by itself, which is of great importance for all of us women, marked since our ancestry by machismo, patriarchy and religion. The unfolding of the paths traced by Horta's lyrical-self are analysed from the need for self-knowledge and to recognize the bitterness inscribed in the skin; the fragmentation and reconstruction, part by part of the body, from head to toe. Assuming the role of Goddess, the poet breaks the vase and remakes it capable of feeling all the pleasures that may exist.
