Sheryl Peterson is the author of many non-fiction books for kids with subjects ranging from Machu Picchu to baseball to dinosaurs. She also has an award-winning picture book entitled The Best Part of a Sauna. Sheryl lives with her husband in northern Minnesota on Rainy Lake which divides the U.S. and Canada. She has three grown children, six amazing grandchildren, and three lively granddogs. In the summer she likes to swim, kayak, and take saunas. Winters up north are a good time for reading, skiing, and writing.
