She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in international affairs with a specialization in Western European politics and Spanish. She attended the University of Denver for law school. She is currently based out of Denver with her two cats, Frances the Kitten and Mikail. This is her first children's book.
