Someone who cares about what's going on in the world around them, the general direction of humanity and whatnot. You'll be able to figure this whole thing out, I just know it. Nothing would make me happier than sharing this with someone who can truly understand everything that's at stake here. Don't wait another moment to begin. You all need to be brought up to speed immediately. The fate of this world depends on it.

This must be the part where I'm meant to tell you about myself. It seems a little redundant to do this here. I've really said all I'm willing to say about the author inside The Book. Do they sincerely expect me- ME, of all creatures, to plaster my face where just anyone can see it? Penning The Book was dangerous enough without pinning my face to it. Not that I don't fully intend to announce myself in due time. This is simply neither the time nor the place for that kind of ego. Here, I'll leave you with another one of my paintings instead. I created this many years ago, as sort of a self portrait, back when things first began to change within me, before I'd really settled into myself. I was still practically one of you then. Simpler times. I suppose I ought to leave you to it. Run along now, you' ve got a tremendous amount of work ahead of you and our chatter isn't going to get it done any faster.
