Autorenporträt
Robert Shaler is the author of "The Boy Scouts of the Flying Squadron." However, "The Boy Scouts of the Flying Squadron" is a book that was written by Robert Shaler Smith. Smith was a prolific author who wrote a number of adventure stories for boys in the early 20th century. He was born in 1887 and lived in New York City for much of his life. "The Boy Scouts of the Flying Squadron" was first published in 1914 and tells the story of a group of Boy Scouts who use their skills and ingenuity to help the United States Navy thwart a group of German spies who are attempting to disrupt American shipping during World War I. The book was popular with young readers and was followed by several sequels, including "The Boy Scouts on War Trails in Belgium" and "The Boy Scouts on the U.S.S. 'Hudson'." While Robert Shaler is not the author of "The Boy Scouts of the Flying Squadron," he did make significant contributions to the field of forensic science, particularly in the area of DNA analysis.
