This is the second children's book written by Dr. Mary A. Flowers. Two others will soon be available: "The Dog Who Wanted to be a Hog" and "The School of Fish Who Went To School." She has also published "Max Goes To The Farm," her first children's book, and " The Door of No Return," a historical non-fiction about the slave house on Goree Island in Senegal (West Africa). Dr. Flowers attended George Washington Carver High School (Montgomery, Alabama) where she graduated valedictorian in 1968 and Summa Cum Laude from Tuskegee University in 1972.
