Refreshing. Loved this story. Eli put it down, and Lauren singing a different tune. It was great reading a story about a different couple where the man was not a billionaire with the woman appearing to be helpless and needy. I recommend buying the book, you will not be disappointed. Bookworm ****************** Lauren Shaw needed to find a date that could stand in as her "plus one boyfriend" for her ex's wedding. Only she hadn't dated anyone since her old boyfriend being the cheater that he was had done as his title implied - and that had been a year ago. Damn Marcus for roping her into having to save face to go in front of his fiancée. But as a 29 year old accountant she neither had the time, nor the "sociable personality" as Marcus would say, in order to make anything real work with anyone. However, that quickly began to change when her assistant Eli Sorensen - a 22 year old ex model with a face like Michelangelo's David and the body to match - walked into her office asking to borrow $400, so that he wouldn't be homeless when he couldn't pay his rent, due to maxing out his wallet on emergency car repairs. And as reluctant as Lauren was to loan him the money, Eli's problem quickly became the solution to her own. Hire him for the wedding.
