Autorenporträt
Heinrich Zschokke, geb. 1771 in Magdeburg, gest. 1848 in Aarau, war einer der populärsten Schweizer Autoren seiner Epoche. Auch als Publizist, Politiker und Pädagoge war er von grossem Einfluss. Seit der Gründung des Kantons Aargau setzte er sich für dessen politische und kulturelle Konsolidierung ein.
