Claire Humphreys has a PhD in Tourism Studies and has spent more than 20 years teaching tourism to undergraduate and master's level students. During her teaching career she has taught a variety of different subject areas which has drawn on her wider appreciation of the tourism industry. Her PhD and research publications reflect a particular interest in sports tourism. Prior to teaching she worked for a European tour operator.
