Sharon Gulley has been writing professionally since 2005 and has been a professional truck driver and heavy equipment operator since 2005. She holds a class-A CDL and is a native of Rhode Island. A grandmother of 2 beautiful grandchildren ages 7 and 9, who are the love of her life. Her love for writing began as a child, but she really became serious about writing and becoming a published author at the age of forty-eight. Her favorite authors include James Agee, Robert Frost, Ann Rice, and Emily Dickerson as well as Mark Twain. She now resides in Jacksonville, Florida. She has won fourteen top-10 contests and was featured twice on Poetrysoup.com and on Poetry Soup's Facebook Page, and has been a member of Poetrysoup since 2014. Being a lover of nature she also studies photography.
