Its 'Prologue' depicts an introduction to Poetry, English Poetry and Indian English Poetry which is no less than a research paper and a must read. The book is dedicated to eminent Indian poet Padma Shri Dr. Jayanta Mahapatra who passed away on August 27th, 2023.

Born on 26th January, 1954, at Itamati of Nayagarh district , Dr. Arun Chandra Sahu retired as Professor and Head of P.G. Department of Botany, G. M. Autonomous College, Sambalpur in 2012. Though a professor of science, he has keen interest in literature authoring eighteen books on Odia poetry, short story, popular science, including one English poetry apart from thirty three science textbooks at state and national level, totalling 51 books to his credit. He has received a number of foreign and state awards like International Scientist of the year for 2004, 2007 and 2008 by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, U.K., Odisha Bigyana Academy Award (2015), Rajadhani Book Fair Award (2014), Kalinga Book Fair Award (2016), Bhubaneswar Book Fair Award (2017) and Mahesh Prasad Purohit Memorial Award by Odisha Botanical Society (2010), Dr. B.C. Panda Award for Environment and Science Communication by Odisha Environmental Society, 2022.
