Iris Carignan is a published author, award-winning artist, poet, an inspirational speaker, and an advocate for women. Her published works include Fresh Eyes: Seeing God in the Unexpected and a children's book, Moriah's Wings, which she also illustrated. Iris is currently on the board of directors for Gabriel's House, a Christian nonprofit providing a home and support to women facing abuse, trafficking, and homelessness. Her volunteer work continues with her involvement in community-based non-profit organizations including James Storehouse and Forever Found. Born in Georgia but raised in Southern California, Iris draws from her Southern roots to infuse life into her Southern characters. When not writing or painting, Iris enjoys spending time with her three children and seven grandchildren.
