Born in Paris, Rafaële Désiré was raised in the French Caribbean Island of Martinique. An artistic child who loved reading above all, she chose science over literature when she moved back to France to become an orthodontist, but a trip to United States radically changed her life's trajectory. Rafaële Désiré writes, paints, and teaches Tai Chi. She lives and practices in Los Angeles, California. The Call of the Dreamwalkers is her second novel.
