Lucie Jacklin is a Welsh author who grew up in the Eastern Province of South Africa. She returned to England when she was seventeen and went to Art College in Herefordshire, England. She made her home in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This is where she raised her three children, Ashley, Wesley and Molly, whilst working for the local newspaper, The Tenby Observer. The author is connected to the ocean and surfed around Pembrokeshire and Cornwall. While surfing her longboard she found a connection to the ocean that remains with her today. Lucie found surfing to be a spiritual journey, something that connected her to nature and to spirituality. Her love of creative writing started as soon as she could read and write. She could always be found with a copy of Dickens or Agatha Christie in her hands. She was fascinated by the story of the Brontë sisters and visited Howarth on several occasions. Lucie currently lives in Canada with her partner Michael and their two dogs, Bronte and Milo. Her first three novels published with Tellwell Talent are The Calling of Cliff House, The Haunting of Bear River and Where the Crows Fly.
