It is a fact that the camel is the only domestic animal species that can survive under the severe desert conditions. This is due to the modification occurred to suit survival in the harsh conditions prevailing in the deserts. Most of such modifications are unique, although some have no clear interpretation, necessitating to carry out further comprehensive investigations to know more about camel secrets. In the present work, some other information regarding some particulars of camel, adaptive features, medicinal properties of milk meat and urine, reproduction in males and females pre- and post-natally, during the breeding and non-breeding seasons, body cover (skin and hair coat) and the camel as a source of food (milk and meat), are discussed.
