As Danny continues his quest, his journey and his illness inspire visits from a cast of colorful, lovable characters, all bent on saving the life of a dying child. Converging on his California abode are his eccentric Jewish family, including a pair of Gentile cousins and a dead grandfather, plus a menagerie of unlikely guests ¿ psychics, an ex-rabbi, a motorcycle gang, a parade of faith healers and the head of the Tucson Atheist Society, whom Danny believes is his real father.
