Autorenporträt
Paul is a rodeo cowboy from the heart of New York City, who knows a great deal about horses and has more miles on him than Route 66. He has a talent for connecting with people through the telling of stories.Paul has lived in many places and has friends all over the world. He is a man of great integrity, and a philosopher. Leon Breeden, who was the legendary Director of the University of North Texas Jazz Program referred to Paul as, 'A world champion Musicologist'. Sometime in the mid-seventies, the North Texas' One O'Clock Lab band did one-night concerts all the way from San Diego to Vancouver. Leon was too sick to go, so he sent Jim Riggs. He told Jim, "In every town you play - dedicate one chart to Paul Barrett in case he shows up".Paul has kept company with folks from every walk of life - the wealthiest - to the poor, but the company that he most prefers is that of his cat, Ginger, in his humble abode in Krum, Texas.
