It's through a fictional dramatisation of reality that I try to reflect on artistic creativity, particularly when painting a picture. Through the logical immediacy of making, I try to unite two presences: the painting canvas and myself/body. The reader will notice that the discipline of painting disappears in favour of the gaze and fantastical speculation. ... Malika Bdera Benarfa è nata in Tunisia nel 1981. Ha conseguito un dottorato in Scienze e Tecnologie dell'Arte ed è docente universitaria. Pittrice franco-tunisina, ha partecipato a numerose mostre, in particolare a quelle organizzate dall'Unione degli artisti plastici tunisini, e si dedica ora all'arte performativa.
