Inundated with questions about making this cake, she wrote a recipe book that offered variations of the well-known classic for those with different dietary needs. Habiba is of Jamaican and Nigerian descent, and her Caribbean grandparents had a significant influence on her upbringing. Habiba Tunau is married and has young adult children. They live and work in North Carolina, United States.
