Otakara grew up consuming books like candies. Ever since she was a child, she has wanted to become an author and write books for kids. She loved animals more than any of her friends did, and often drove her parents crazy with all the living creatures she brought home. Finally, when she was twelve years old she got a dog named Jessi, and her life was forever changed by the canine love. Detective Bella Unleashed series grew out of her life spent with dogs by her side, putting words into their mouths and commenting on life from their point of view.
