Produktbeschreibung
Sent to heal the rift between the two septs of her genetically engineered numan species, Ilien of Castor encounters hostility from her unwilling host, the ruler of planet Pollux, Elias Rho-Gunn and the dangerous planet of Pollux. Isolated in House Rho-Gunn, she forms a secret alliance with the mysterious siren who inhabits the waters of Skull Caldera which lap the ramparts of House Rho-Gunn. Ilien's presence awakens ghosts of a tragic history haunting House Rho-Gunn, threatening Ilien's life and the tenuous link of trust she must form with Elias. The menace of uprisings against the regime on Pollux further complicates Ilien's efforts to achieve a successful conclusion and to discover the fate of her predecessor, the woman on the wall, whose inexplicable disappearance nearly six decades previously may be the key which could unravel a twisted tangle born of decades of deceit.
Autorenporträt
Margaret Cawsey was born a long time ago in Melbourne, Australia. When she was nine, she moved with her family to Canberra and has lived there ever since. From the age of twenty-one, she has applied information management methodologies to the fields of biological science, working with ecologists, parasitologists, statisticians, modellers and taxonomists. When she's not constrained by real science, she spends her leisure hours making it up, seeking advice on whether her imaginings might have some vague basis in currently accepted fact. She has two children, a daughter who is too far away, in North Carolina, USA; and a son, who also resides in Canberra. Her partner of twenty-eight years is a parasitologist and taxonomist with expertise in nematodes and other parasites of Australian wildlife.
