About the author/artist: Shoshannah Brombacher is a Dutch artist, author and scholar from Amsterdam (The Netherlands). She holds a PhD in Jewish Studies from Leyden University (The Netherlands) and has lectured in Leyden, Berlin, Jerusalem and New York. She is an ordained maggidah (Jewish spiritual guide and storyteller), the vice-president of the American Guild of Judaic Art, and a member of the Jewish Art Salon. She has curated and participated in many international art exhibitions and received several awards for her art, which includes work for Occupy Wall Street and Social Justice organizations. Brombacher designed book and CD covers and illustrations for Jason Aronson Publishing, Yitzhak Buxbaum, R. Chaim Dalfin, R. Simchah Raz, R. Berel Wein, Carmelo Zaffora, the composers Meira Warschauer and Ezra Okonsar, and others. She made posters for films, OWS, and the Yiddish Rep theatre.
