Many times, internal and external obstacles, manifesting as pride, entitlement and selfish pursuits, hinder growth and can get in the way of allowing the love of Christ to shine on those who do not know Him. This sentiment flows throughout The Caterpillar and his Maker, the latest poetry book from author Joshua Osime. The collection of poems is not just easygoing reminders of God's love and blessings, but chilling revelations of a lost world in need of Jesus and witnesses hindered by personal agendas. Several of the poems are self-reflective, encouraging believers to give their burdens to the Lord and be mindful of harmful habits. Others focus on the treatment of others, such as honoring fathers and mothers, domestic violence and being compassionate to less fortunate ones.Each poem eloquently lays the foundation of the situation or experience, while vividly describing God's intention with certain outcomes that come from His choices and those of a person.
