Ms. Givens has dedicated her life to educating the public on the devastation of families and the community by domestic violence and stalking crimes. The author has an Associate Degree in Business Management from Prince Georges Community College in Largo, Maryland. She also earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland, her current graduate studies are also with UMUC. She has completed domestic violence courses from the National Victims of Crime Center in Washington, DC. And the Family Crisis Center of Brentwood Maryland. Barbara Givens is a stalking and domestic violence Christian survivor. Her bi-weekly counseling abuse support group in accordance with the scripture has helped men, women and children to grow beyond hurt and pain to the victory of forgiveness and success. This all volunteer group meet each 2nd and 4th Monday of each month in Bladensburg, Maryland.
