Journeying across Wales as well as into the Welsh diaspora--from Liverpool and London to Philadelphia and Toronto and even Melbourne and Khasi Hills--this comprehensive survey records some of the chapels that played a central role in the faith, culture, and history of 19th and 20th century Wales. Delving into the architectural importance of each chapel and its current spiritual health, this extensive examination offers insight into the history of non-conformism in Wales and in the UK.
