Autorenporträt
John Young was raised on a dairy farm in Vermont's so-called Northeast Kingdom. At the earliest opportunity, he deserted the bovine lifestyle and moved to the big city, Burlington, where he attended the University of Vermont. After graduation, he worked in state government and, for a decade, operated a new and collectible comic-books business.Almost three decades ago, John and his family moved to the Charleston area. He quickly fell in love with the Holy City and its history. He worked as a docent and education coordinator at The Old Exchange, later became a registered tour guide, and currently is operations manager of The Powder Magazine, a colonial military museum.Photo by
