It's never too late to reinvent yourself Popular self-help author Olivia Furie has spent her entire adulthood living a serene and carefully curated life. But after being recently widowed, left homeless, and destitute, she's in dire need of an extreme life makeover. She never expected it to be supernatural ... Olivia and her beloved cat Magnus head to Cornwall hopeful that once there, life will return to normal. As if. Once in Rowanswood, they meet a colourful cast of characters, including demanding elemental Crones, mythical creatures, and talking animals. But who is the gorgeous man who keeps popping up everywhere she turns? And what does he want? Olivia is looking at normal in the rear-view mirror when she learns of the terrible danger posed by the High Fae. With guidance from the elemental Crones, Olivia must master her magic before she leaves a trail of ashes in her wake. Can the woman who wouldn't stand up to her husband step up to protect the mortal realm from the High Fae? And what about this third realm that's trying to muscle in? There isn't a self-help book in the world that could have prepared her for this! The Chic Crone is the first book in The Rowanswood Crones paranormal women's fiction series. It's perfect for readers who like strong female characters, enchanted villages, slow burn romance, and journeys of self-discovery.

Autorenporträt
Despite all the best practice recommendations, I can't write an author bio in the third person. It's just not me. I mean who do you think is writing it anyhow? So I thought we'd do something a little more fun instead, so you can learn a bit more about me without me feeling pretentious. Call it ten truths and a lie.1.I have degrees in English, Classics (Ancient History), and a Masters in Organizational Psychology.2. Despite all the education above, I ended up working in finance and accounting and I'm a qualified CPA.3. I've been on safari in Botswana, Uganda and Tanzania.4. I've climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.5. I've looked after an elephant for a day in Thailand.6. I've had three middle-grade novels published.7. I wrote my first book when I was eight (heavily influenced by The Borrowers) and produced it myself out of folded bits of paper.8. I'm semi-retired now.9. When I'm not writing, I can be found walking beside the sea, reading a book, or enthusiastically, if inexpertly, crocheting.10. I've lived in Moscow and Santiago.11. I now call beautiful Vancouver Island home.Okay, there are a lot of truths and a lie in there. See if you can spot it and let me know your guess. I'd love to stay in touch with you.
