A Roger Bennion Mystery Two brothers, one a successful accountant, the other a prominent solicitor commit suicide at exactly the same moment though they lived miles apart. A macabre coincidence? Perhaps, but Inspector Goff doesn't necessarily believe in coincidences. Neither does Roger Bennion, who first proves that the deaths were murder, and then finds himself trying to prove the innocence of the nephew of one of the brothers, towards who all the evidence points. But can he, with no real clues and no other suspects discover who the real murderer is?

Autorenporträt
Herbert Adams (1874-1958) was an English author of over fifty mystery novels. Though his first novel, A Virtue of Necessity, was published in 1899, it wasn't until the 1920's that his career as a mystery writer took off with a series of books featuring the London lawyer Jimmie Haswell. This was followed by a second series featuring Roger Bennion, a golfer an amateur detective. Many of the books in this series were centered around a golfing theme. Adams also wrote a number of non-series mysteries. In addition he wrote two mysteries, a number of short stories, and humorous verse using the pseudonym Jonathan Gray.
