Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way. (JESUS) This book, crayons and cartoons notwithstanding, really isn't a children's book. Yet, at its heart, that's exactly what it is. It's kind of hard to explain, which is probably why the author uses so many colors and pictures, though that's not the only reason. As a starting point, let's agree it's a book (alphabet!) for kids of all ages, especially those who have experienced a few more birthday parties and Christmas mornings. And for Anderson's first word, play, it is also a book filled with truth that is for all times, all places, and all people . . . all ages. After all, the eternal words of Jesus will be front and center from start to finish. The call of Jesus to his kingdom requires we become and live childlike. So what does that sound like, look like, and live like? Oh . . . and play like? You are invited, by the King, to enter The Childlike Kingdom!
