"A child's view on the world of adults" is not only a look from the outside, but also a look from the inside. At the dawn of cinema development, children started to appear on the screen. Time dictates its own rules. Thus, the image of both adults and children are formed in the cinema in the state of the world crisis, before and during the war. Our research starts from the analysis of the first child's appearance on the screen, of films where the main characters are children, who entering the adult world and try to comprehend it. The paper studies films not limited by time and space. The object of analysis is foreign films from Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, the USA, as well as Soviet-made films created over the course of a whole 20th century.
