Jingjie was fundamental to the spatial fluidity found in Chinese landscape arts, especially garden design. O Dr. Yu-Cheng Chuang é actualmente professor assistente no Departamento de Média Digital, Universidade Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia de Yunlin, Taiwan. Em 1998, recebeu o grau de AMF do Departamento de Pintura, Instituto de Tecnologia de Rochester, EUA. Em 2003, recebeu o doutoramento do Departamento de Artes Visuais, Goldsmiths College, Universidade de Londres, Reino Unido.
