Childbirth is a natural human experience, preceded by a pregnancy that is regularly monitored by health personnel, namely the gynaecologist and/or midwife. This physiological phenomenon is universally burdened by an over-medicalization motivated by the fight against perinatal morbidity and mortality. This over-medicalization no longer leaves room for the voice of the main person concerned, the pregnant woman, and can thus be the source of a negative experience of childbirth.
