This study seeks to address the question of conflict among the Christian believers and within the church. The study works from the reference of two realities. The case of conflict within the contemporary Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), the Livingstonia and Nkhoma Synods border disputes and briefly the case of South Africa during the apartheid government. The influence of human sin, misjudgment and competition for scarce resources could be the root causes of many disputes in the contemporary church. Conflicts in whatever form or location always reflect differences of interests, values, beliefs and goals as well as perfections. Salvation is the application of atonement of Christ made satisfactorily for sins and has removed the penalty from the sinner who trusts in Him. Salvation by grace declares that through the work of Christ, there is reconciliation and peace between God and man, and that God has made it possible for Him to receive and restore man to friendship with Himself. Reconciliation as an act consists of the removal of the ground of disharmony as a result it is the resumption of relations of harmony, understanding and peace among human beings.
