Autorenporträt
Sir Ajua Alemanji is a long-serving engineer-economist who was born in his native Cameroon. After the renowned Sasse College, he pursued advanced studies abroad, earning M Sc degrees in highway engineering in Moscow and transportation economics in York, Canada. Since his return to Cameroon in 1980, he has executed numerous planning, highway, and engineering design projects for the Government. He has consulted with major regional and inter-governmental organizations. It is widely published in professional areas ranging from traffic accidents, city street design, challenges to road construction in Cameroon, to integrated approaches to development in general. Sir Alemanji is a traditional chief (Fuankeng Ajua) of Ndungatet Fondom in Lebialem Division and is deeply steeped in his ancestral culture - an area where he has written a full-length book (In Defense of a Tradition and the Legacy of Mafua Nkengafac Fuantem). He has been married to Lady Alemanji for 47 and has five children and many grandchildren. He lives in Yaounde where is currently managing director of AM Engineering and Contracts Consultants.
