A lifelong equestrian, author Betty Weibel began her career as a news reporter with the Cleveland Press before joining a Cleveland public relations agency. During this time she was responsible for the national American Grandprix Association account and oversaw media and sponsor relations for the thirty-event series. She was instrumental in introducing the sport of show jumping to media around the country and provided equestrian commentary for ESPN and PBS.
