Autorenporträt
Melissa Mulhollan has been an educator for nearly 30 years. She became a certified life coach in 2014. She wrote her new book, The Coaching Classroom, to share life coaching strategies she has used to help her students improve their performance and reach their full potential. This initiative was so successful that Melissa now teaches a stand-alone course using the coaching techniques she discusses in her book, along with other success principles. The course is called Foundations for Life and focuses on three units: Success and Professionalism, Career Readiness and Self-Care. Melissa has been a member of the school's building leadership team since its inception in 2015 and was voted Teacher of the Year in 2016. She has served in her local teachers' union as secretary for two years, vice president for eight years and president for the past three years. Her passion for the well-being of children extends beyond her classroom. Melissa is donating 10% of the proceeds of her book to ImPACT Virginia, a 503(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to educating medical students and the healthcare community to understand human trafficking as a growing public health issue. Melissa resides in DuBois, PA with her husband and son. To learn more about Melissa, The Coaching Classroom, and the Foundations for Life curriculum, please visit www.melissamulhollan.com.
