Family Coccidae is the third largest family of Coccoidea, with about 1138 described species belong to 160 genera worldwide (Ben-Dov et al, 2010). At the present time, some 10 subfamilies are recognized (Hodgson, 1994). In Egypt this family is the third family of superfamily Coccoidea in the collection of the Egyptian ministry of Agriculture. It is presented with 29 species belonging to 15 genus and three subfamilies; Ceroplastinae Atkinson, Coccinae Fallen, and Filippiinae Bodenheimer.
